The Research Center for Regional Economy of Henan province

After passing the examination and inspection made by the assessment panel of the key research base for social science of Henan province, the Research Center for Regional Economy of Henan province was established as the key research base for social science of Henan province, affiliated to Propaganda Department of Henan provincial Party Committee. Depending on the direct leadership of the Propaganda Department of Henan provincial Party Committee and the theoretical innovation in regional economy, the center has made best of the discipline integration of regional economy since its establishment. That will boost the regional economic development, support the rise of central China and China’s regional development strategies, and promote the training of senior talents in Henan province and China’s regional economy. The center has published theoretical articles in major journals, for example, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Economy Daily and Qiushi Magazine, and it took part in the major researches relevant to regional economic development the compilation of a series of books. It also made prominent achievements in scientific research and academic exchange as well as discipline construction and talent training, all of which have brought it affirmation.In addition, it was awarded by the Propaganda Department of Henan provincial Party Committee the “advanced unit” in key research base for social science of Henan province. Under the background of new strategic layout of regional development in China and Henan province in the new era, the center will enhance construction in team building and decision-making consultation, so that it can become the authoritative research institute in regional economy of Henan province, the think tank of central China, and the national first-class base for regional economic research and personnel training.
