Recently, Li Qiangzi, a researcher at the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Engineering Laboratory for Remote Sensing Satellite Applications, and a 1991 alumnus from the School of Environment and Planning of Henan University, was elected a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. His sincere service to the country, pioneering and innovative, self-cultivation, and rewarding advancement, fully demonstrated the geoscience spirit of "nurturing good morals, and vicissitudes." I believe that under the inspiration of Academician Li Qiangzi's scientific research spirit, the majority of young students will actively participate in scientific research with a strong sense of responsibility and mission.
