Physical Geography and Resource Environment
(1)Training objectives
This specialty is trained with innovative spirit and practical ability. It has a comprehensive development in virtue, intelligence, body and beauty. It has a solid theoretical basis in the fields of natural geography, natural resources and environment, strong planning and management ability, basic theories of modern management and economics, and basic skills in measurement, cartography and computer. To meet the needs of the society, the senior specialized personnel engaged in the research, development, planning and management of natural resources and the ecological environment in the fields of land, urban construction and agriculture.
(2)Professional requirements
The basic theories, basic knowledge and basic skills of natural geography, natural resources and environment are mainly studied. Through the training of the professional scientific thinking and practical ability of the system, a good scientific literacy is trained, so as to obtain various basic abilities for the scientific research and practical application of the major.
Mastering the basic knowledge, methods and skills of this profession, having a broad humanistic and scientific literacy, and receiving a good professional thinking and practical training;Obtaining the first hand scientific data and geographic information through the field investigation, remote sensing image interpretation and laboratory operation;Mastering a foreign language, and mastering certain the computer knowledge and geographic information system technology, and be proficient in the work and research related to this subject;Understanding the relevant policies and regulations of this profession, having the ability of natural resources planning and management, and ecological environment construction.Understanding the theoretical frontier and application status of this major, and having the ability to combine the knowledge of this subject with other disciplines to solve practical problems.
2、Academic system and degree
(1)The implementation of the flexible school system. The basic school system of this profession is 4 years, and students can complete their studies in 3-7 years.
(2) Graduates who meet the requirements of the degree Ordinance shall be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree.
3、The requirements of graduation
The total amount of graduation is 164 credits, of which the required courses are 93 credits (38 credits for public basic platform courses, 35 credits for basic platform courses and 20 credits for professional basic platform courses).the elective courses need 49 credits (professional elective 41 credits, public elective courses 8 credits); practical teaching 22 credits (including the "special credits" 7” credits).
