"Snowflakes floating, north wind Xiaoxiao", in the cold wind, we ushered in the fourth solar term of winter - the winter solstice. The winter solstice is the extreme of the southbound sun. It is the day with the shortest day and the longest night in the northern hemisphere. Therefore, it was called "the shortest day" in ancient times. "The sunshine count nine, the winter solstice days, clear frost wind high did not quit", since then, the real count nine cold days began. The winter solstice is one of the most important festivals recorded by the ancients. For ordinary people, this day is an auspicious day, representing the old to the new.

In order to welcome the coming winter solstice, on December 20, all the students of grade 2019 of our college held the theme group day activity of "welcoming winter solstice and making dumplings" on the second floor of Nanyuan restaurant. Beef stuffing, round skin, a pair of clumsy or dexterous hands and a grunt belly are the biggest protagonists in this activity. Let's get together, or by experience, or by imagination, to taste the joy of labor and the delicacy of dumplings. The collision of experience and "creativity" adds a bit of fun to the activity. If you don't believe it, the neat "ears" of this table and the "luminous" Yuanbao of that table seem to show off their masters' skillful craftsmanship; while the "cat ears", "fake steamed stuffed bun", "lace skirt", "Rose" and "dumpling triangle" over there are showing off the beauty of "artistic sense". However, not everyone is a master, there are also some "Jiaozi Xiaobai" who have no way to start with the thin wafer - there are not a few who are grinning, half greasy and wrinkled. But in any case, as long as the dumpling pot, the beautiful and ugly have become attractive. Students also quickly adjust the state, just eager to try is now eating, Shh, not to mention people's appetite, next three or four dumplings is not normal people will do? Who can resist the temptation of dumplings? (in a whisper, we all eat dumplings, so we won't freeze our ears this year. After all, "we don't serve dumpling bowls at the winter solstice, and no one cares if we freeze our ears.")

After a short chat, the students, who were full of dumplings and wanton, packed up their things and patted their tummy with a smile under the guidance of Han Xiaojing, a counselor and teacher, ending the fun filled activity.
