He graduated from the Department of Geology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 1994. He received a PhD in 2000 at the institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From November 2000 to November 2004 He worked as a postdoctor in China. Institute of Marine Studies and Department of Geoscience, Nanjing University, A study visit by the United States Woods Hole Ocean Institute from October 2003 to April 2004, JSPS Overseas Fellow, University of Tokyo, Visit to the University of New Leuven, Belgium, March-August 2016.In 2015 won the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund ,2018 selected the Central Organization Department ," Ten thousand people Plan "science and technology leaders. Presided over the Ministry of Science and Technology National key R & D program, the Chinese Academy of Sciences pilot projects, fund committee and many other topics. He has won the Youth Geological Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Geological Society, the Liu Dongsheng Young Geoscientist Award, the Young Scientist Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Wang Kancheng Western Scholars Outstanding contribution Award, the National Natural Science second prize, and the Huang Jiqing Youth Geological Science and Technology Award. Summary of views: engaged in wind dust deposition, ancient monsoon evolution and drought in dust source area for a long time, discussed the evolution process and dynamics of monsoon-arid environment at different time scales, and demonstrated that wind dust deposition in China can be regarded as a good record of monsoon-arid environment evolution. A dust source tracer system based on single mineral quartz was established to clarify the structure-orbit scale Asian dust source-sink change and its relationship with plateau uplift and global cooling; the effects of solar radiation, ice volume and CO2 changes on the orbital East Asian monsoon variability were revealed by using multiple sensitive monsoon substitution indexes such as quartz particle size and carbonate carbon isotopes. The diversity of the climate transition in the Middle Pleistocene was found. The research results were published in Nature Geoscience 、Nature Communications 、EPSL 、QSR and other international journals, and more than 100 academic papers have been published. The papers have been cited more than 4800 times SCI, and the high index (H-Index) is 38.
