Recently, the Education Department of Henan Province released the notice on the publicity of evaluation results of Ideological and political project construction in undergraduate colleges and universities in Henan Province and the notice on the publicity of virtual simulation experiment teaching project in Henan Province in 2020. Ding Zhiwei's "urban geography" course has been approved as one of the first batch of Ideological and political model courses in Henan Province, pan Yanfang's "virtual simulation experiment teaching project for analysis of the lower Yellow River channel change" and Ding Zhiwei's "spatial structure evolution of historical and cultural city based on virtual simulation -- taking Kaifeng City as an example" have been approved as provincial key virtual simulation projects.

Our college adheres to the principle of "taking the foundation as the foundation", comprehensively promotes "four regressions", takes five kinds of "golden lessons" as the construction goal, and deeply promotes the reform of curriculum system through the establishment of major geography teaching reform projects. In the aspect of curriculum ideological and political education, we should thoroughly implement the fundamental task of "Building Morality and cultivating people", fully tap the elements of curriculum ideological and political education such as "harmony between human and land", "regional coordination" and "systematic integration", organically integrate the emotional attitude value goal of professional course teaching and curriculum ideological and political education, and realize the organic unity of Ideological and political education and knowledge system education. In terms of virtual simulation project, around the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin and the historical and cultural city "Yellow River story", breaking through the time and space constraints, virtual reproduction of the Yellow River changes and Kaifeng "city on city" landscape is of great significance to improve students' geographical discovery thinking and innovative practical skills.
