HENU E&P Holds Autumn Sports Meet

On 30th Nov.2014, the autumn sports meet of CEP (The college of Environment and Planning) competition area was held in Zhiyi stadium of HENU(Henan University) Jinming Campus.Qiang Zhang, the deputy director of Public Physical Education Department at HENU, Miao Miao, the director of General Office of Party and government of Public Physical Education Department at HENU, Huijun Liu ,the deputy party secretary of Professor at college of E&P, Yongpeng Song, secretary of Youth League Committee and counselors from grade 2011 to grade 2014 attended the opening ceremony. Not only freshmen and sophomores but also staff took part in the sports meet.

The sports meet was organized by the Student Union of Youth League Committee, undering the auspices of E&P.The day-long even consisted of opening ceremony, sports competition and closing ceremony. And the individual sports was various such as field and track events, team event and so forth.

The opening ceremony started with ten representative teams entering the stadium, accompanied by a strong rhythm of the music. Later, Qiang Zhang gave address,” I wish this sports meet a complete success! Thank you all!” Then Huijun Liu announced the official opening of the sports meet.

During the following Track and Field events, each athlete did their utmost to achieve better results, challenged their limitation and explored their maximum potential. In the fun team games, one of the most exciting events was Tandem Walking in which all the participants were divided into several teams (each one contains two males and two females).

“Amazing! I have never joined such a colourful sports meet”, said Bo Pang, the president of student union, grade 2012.

“It was a wonderful game”, said Ruijiao Zhang, one of the event participants, grade 2014.“It tests our cooperation and unity, moreover, it’s essential that we all members were involved together. No matter we win or fail, we all enjoy the process.”

Every semester, the college of Environment and Planning organizes the sports meet to diversify the holistic college life, to build up students’ health levels and to promote physical culture of college. All of people in Henan University sang high praise for the autumn sports meet.
